kaylashay81: (Callie Survivor)

A Callie Update...

Over a year ago, Callie (along with my parents) survived a house fire that claimed the lives of 3 other cats in the house. Including my cat Abu who was Callie's brother.

Callie is now around 18 years old and enjoying her second kitten-hood as you can see from a few videos. :)

In regards to the mouse video, Callie has an army of toy mouse (around 8) and she transports the troops throughout the house to wherever my mom is. And she cries while doing it. My mom will always wake up surrounded by mice. At least they are of the toy variety.

Callie is very spry for 18! And a very pretty girl. :) My cats cry when they bring me a "mousie" too -- and I have to praise them. ;)

She is spry. Although her jumping judgement is not what it used to be and there are miscalculation errors. What's bad is when those errors involve your lap because she still has claws.

Ouch! :)

I to have a calico named Callie! Mine is 9 now and I hope my Callie is just as playful healthy at 18 as your Callie is!

We *almost* renamed her and her brother Simba and Nala after Lion King came out, but by then we were already calling her Callie and Abu was Abu...

my calico cat likes chasing her laser light toy, but my Tortie shell likes bringing,,, empty toilet paper rolls, the cardborad, to me, meowing "MEOWMA" the whole time. They both hate my 11 month old neice though,,, I think they see the future of tail pulling. I am so glad your kitty is so playful!

Abu, her brother, was the laser light chaser. The first time we did that, he followed it so long he finally collapsed to the floor from exhaustion and didn't move for about 2-3 hours.

And Kitty, one of the others lost in the fire, was the klepto. He stole anything and everything, especially paper money. He took a $20 once.

Kitteh!!! *snuggles Callie*

My Tibby tends to do the same thing; both the crying and the bringing plushy mousie to mommy. I usually wake up to the damn mouse waiting for me. LOL!

My Gismo prefers to snatch his toys and hide them. He's a trophy hoarder. *g* (He woke up from his nap next to me and jumped the laptop when he heard Callie cry just now. LOL! Silly cat.)

Callie did that a lot when she was a kitten and then she grew out of it mostly. But after the fire it started back up again and worse than it was before. My mom would be buried in toy mice if she gave her more.

Gismo must be like Kitty was (one of the ones lost in the fire). Kitty was a klepto and he really liked paper money.

And yay for cat responses while listened to cat videos!
