avamclean... "Joker, the. I want to know your thoughts on Batman's greatest enemy...I'm an odd duck."
I'll start at the beginning because according to Maria that's a very good place to start...
I think the first incarnation of the Joker I recall being exposed to was:

Yes, that is the Joker from the Adam West Batman shows/movie. I watched Batman: The Movie one too many times as a kid. Couldn't get enough of that Zowie and Zap and Pow... The "some days you just can't get rid of a bomb" line... and of course the mix up in dust of the foreign guys at the end while Batman and Robin quietly backed out of the window... It's campy fun and, yes, I own it on DVD.

Jack Nicholson. Don't ask me what my parents were thinking letting me watch that movie that young... but I saw it. Jack kinda freaked me out. He wears crazy quite well.

Mark Hamill?! The Joker?! I had watched the cartoon many times and didn't know about that little tidbit until I was reading a Star Wars magazine that talked about it and I pretty much went WTF?! Then I never seemed to catch a joker episode of the cartoon afterwards... go figure.

I actually look forward to Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker in the upcoming moving. It'll be kinda strange knowing that he is dead... but... I still want to see it.

At let's not forget this joker... Tony DiNozzo off of NCIS. I created that icon for a challenge at
ncis_stillness. I thought he made a pretty convincing Joker after I added some touches. :-)

The only real nightmare I remember, I was about five, and it was after seeing Jack as the Joker (I also wonder why my parents let me watch it so young)...and this creepy guy in a purple outfit chased me and batman around my house and even batman couldn't save me.
I wasn't that young when I saw it... probably around 10. And the purple was a little creepy on Jack.
