Ultimately, I wanted her and Tony to have a conversation because she is kinda like Jeanne in that she was being used by a man who lied to her. So she would see things from Jeanne's POV. I think she could help Tony not feel as bad as he does about what he did.
Glad you loved the ending!
Below is the wording from the actually challenge:
Cynthia Sumner, secretary to NCIS Director Jenny Shepard, has her finger on the pulse of NCIS. In addition to doing the usual secretarial work, you can be sure that she has her eyes and ears wide open. She sees and hears a lot.
But just what does she do with that information? Does she keep it to herself, or does she share it with her boss? (Or, what might be worse, share it with others?)
Your mission: Tell a story about an item (or more than one item) that Cynthia knows about. The future of NCIS may or may not depend on what Cynthia does, but people's feelings ... reputations ... even their jobs might. This is your chance to explore the mind of one of the show's underutilized characters. It might be some gossip on the staff that she might tell Jenny about (or she might decide not to). On the other hand, suppose she has something on Jenny...will she be loyal to her boss, or do something with that information?
Every action taken has consequences; every action carries risks. What happens when you know someone else's fate may rest in your hands?
Character Requirements: + Must feature Cynthia reasonably prominently. + Must involve Jenny, though she doesn't have to be prominent + Must have at least one of the following characters: Gibbs, Tony, Tim, Ziva, Abby, Ducky, Palmer, Lee, Fornell + Since Cynthia came on with Jenny in season 3, it would be a stretch to involve Kate, so don't go there. You could make a case, though, for any former cast member who is still living (e.g. Gerald), or who died after Cynthia joined (e.g. Paula), but please include also at least one of the people named above.
