2013 seemed to be a good writing year for me. Especially when compared to last year's numbers. Below is the damage and some rambling from me.

I hope everyone has a happy New Year! See you in 2014!

High Points of the Year:
Completing the White Collar Big Bang has to be the highest point. I posted my longest fic ever at 16,000 words with Everything to Lose.

Low Points:
The month of October. It was low for writing, but high for everything else because I got see NYC and [livejournal.com profile] sinfulslasher for the first time at the same time. If it's any consolation, she left me with plenty of bunnies to feed.

My favorite fic(s) this year:
Everything to Lose (aka longest fic eveh!) is definitely on the favorite list. I've always wanted to write a longer fic and I finally did. I also enjoy The Philadelphia Story because I love doing back stories for both Tony and Neal.

My least favorite fic(s) this year:
I don't really have a least favorite. I usually like all my fics to some degree or another. Now the one that I wish I had written more on is Three Modifications, but I had limited myself to 300 words for some silly reason.

Most successful fic:
Going by kudos over at AO3, The Offer wins. It's hard to tell on LJ without going back through comment counts or something.

Most fun fic:
Both are Highlander crossovers... All in Good Time and In a Panic. Unexpected deaths where they don't stay dead are always fun to do.

Most poignant fic:
I'm going with The Right to Vote on this one. It's so easy to forget that Neal is actually a convicted felon serving a sentence and that because of that he doesn't have the same basic rights that the rest of Americans have.

Hardest fic to write:
I don't really have one for this. I guess Everything to Lose (aka longest fic eveh!) probably works since it took so long to finish and it was in part why I didn't write anything in October.

Bunnies that are jumping out of the pen:
Well, I have my handy dandy Unanswered Prompts / Community Fics to Be Written post to keep track of what I'm working on. I also have some lingering bunnies from my time in NYC with [livejournal.com profile] sinfulslasher (Neal in the North Woods, that Egyptian AU and castration fic oh my!).

Goals for 2014:

  • sinfulslasher: (evil!bunny)
    Yay, go you! \o/

And d'awwwww re: October. *smishes you*

AND YES RE: THE PLUNNEHS FROM HELL! Bwahahaha.

Thank you for mentioning The Right to Vote. It really is such a poignant story, it blew my mind the first time I read it!
    • October was just doomed. It started in Florida, then I was sickly, then NYC, then still sickly and all on the heels of the big bang epic for me fic.

And yay for Plunnehs from Hell!

And I studied the lists of what each state does to make sure I had it right for NYC and Neal. Gotta love research into that. Of course the fact that I know someone through work that had a history following him and led to issues for him because he got looped into the 'everyone is the same kind evil' thinking due to his past made it even more poignant to me.

Here's hoping for a higher word count in 2014! I signed up for three reverse bb wc fics, so that will be at least 15,000 right there. :)
