Hi everyone... I'm alive. Although the Red Cross I tried to donate blood with a few days back probably thought otherwise when she had to take my blood pressure twice to get it to register. :)
Things went crazy at work back about the time I went to the NCIS DC get together and didn't calm down until the last few weeks. And even then, it still gets a bit crazy. I'm now more or less HR along with all my old duties to boot. So yay! And let me tell you that people as a whole can't follow directions. *sigh*
But enough about work. I'm going to work on getting back into the swing of LJ land. I've been catching up on journals... and what not.
I also want to get to writing again because I miss it so much. So here's to getting back.
As a 'get me motivated' incentive, I'll take the first five prompts (NCIS or crossovers with NCIS preferred) and try to write at least a drabble to get me going. Any takers?

WELCOME BACK
Re: WELCOME BACK
Tony smiled his first real smile as he made an ungraceful pirouette in the physical therapy room, coming face to face with Gibbs.
"See Boss! Give me a week and I'll be field ready!"
Gibbs found it hard to negate Tony's enthusiasm even though they both knew it wasn't realistic. He forced himself to keep his eyes glued to Tony's excited face as the man worked his way back down the room's runway for those learning to walk again.
"You clear it with Ducky and I'll believe it, DiNozzo," Gibbs said softly as his eyes finally drift down to that ever so obvious artificial leg that started around Tony's knee.

"Never your fault, DiNozzo. Others to blame both times. But you need something. I can't keep carrying your ass to work all the time."
"Like you mind," Tony said as a he pushed the afore mentioned ass against Gibbs' interested crotch. "This way I have an excuse to stay here. Cuts down on time when we get a call."
"You don't need an excuse, Tony," Gibbs mumbled into the neck he had started nibbling at. "You know that."
"I know that, Jethro. It's just easier to have an excuse if someone gets nosy."
"Let me handle that. You're going car shopping Saturday."
"Only if you come with. You can be my intimidation so they don't try to pull a fast one. Now let's stop talking about cars until I have a new backseat to christen."
Didn't quite get the shopping in, but... :)
That was excellent.
Abby, Oz (NCIS/BtVS) - You meet the most interesting people in New Orleans.
She was so lost in thought that she didn't notice the guy grabbing her until she was pulled into a side alley with a hand over mouth. Her first thought was that Gibbs was going to kill her if she made it home alive.
Her assailant swung her around and her eyes widened as everything she thought about the supernatural was confirmed by the fanged and ridged face in front of her.
"Scream for me little Goth girl," the accented voice drawled out. "I love it when they scream."
Before she could determine the best path to take, the face disappeared in a cloud of dust. Looking behind the dust, she saw a short, spiky haired guy with a wooden stake in his hand.
Looking her saviour up and down, she said the first thing that popped in her rattled brain. "I thought vampire slayers were more female?"
The spiky haired guy just grinned. "Go to California for them. I just do it on the side."
"Abby," she said pulling him into a strong hug. "I hug alot, and you are meeting my family and I've got to tell Gibbs about you and I like your nail polish. What's your name, where..."
She led him back towards the lighted street and didn't seem to mind that he couldn't get a word in edge wise.
As for a prompt... hmm - maybe something about the time Tony got poison ivy in his first year at NCIS?
It started with an itch. Nothing more, nothing less. But that itch turned into two and that turned into four and he was never a math genius, but the multiplication happened fast.
"What's your problem, DiNozzo?" Gibbs barked and Tony didn't even jump due to the intense itching on his body.
"It's just-" he paused to scratch lower down his body than he previously had been scratching. "God! Not there too!"
"Go see Ducky and then get out of here. Don't need you contaminating everything."
"I'm fine," Tony said around a grimace. "And I don't think it would be stupid to infect you."
"Go!"
And Tony obeyed, scratching all the way to morgue.
"Can't wait till we get a probie around here," he muttered to the elevator wall.
Thrilled to see you back, and I'm hoping to find lots of new Kayla posts spamming my flist in the future! :D
*tacklehugs*
I'm coming back. :)
I may open up for more prompts since these went well.
*hugs*
Thanks!
Thanks! I want a Gibbs hug like Abby is getting!
I'll have to do some more prompts I think, or revisit some old ones I haven't answered.
Welcome Back
much from you very soon.
I'm a true admirer.

Re: Welcome Back
Got a few ideas in process I just need to write. And a settled reality would be nice.
How goes things for you?
