Summary: They boldly went where no NCIS agents had gone before...
It had been two very long days. While investigating the death of a petty officer, a brilliant flash of light had surrounded them. One second they had been standing on a grassy hill and the next, they were standing in the middle of a room with people in odd style clothing. It had looked like something out of a science fiction film.
It had taken several hours to realize they were in a future that had spaceships and a federation of planets.
They had been granted rooms on the Starship Enterprise and leave to roam the ship while Starfleet worked on a way to send them home. They just had to make do until they could return home.
With that thought in mind, Gibbs decided he needed to have a conference with his team and he wanted it in a place in which he felt comfortable. So he led them to one of the many lifts that covered the decks of the ship.
Once inside, he ran into a dilemma and he made its presence known…
"How the hell do I stop this damn thing?!"
Help was not quickly forthcoming. McGee was too busy drooling over the equipment as he had been since their arrival. Abby was murmuring about taking it apart to see what made it tick. Ducky started into a long-winded story that had no bearing on the situation. Ziva pulled out a knife and made motions at one of the panels. Tony was punching various buttons and waving his hand over any sensor he could find.
He was about to growl in frustration when a wailing siren sound filled the air…
Gibbs opened his eyes and blinked at the buzzing cell phone. That was last time he let Tony talk him into a night at the movies…

I had this plot bunny since I watched the movie and Spock and Uhura were stopped on the lift and I was like, "Gibbs' conference is still used in the future!!"
